Tip of the Week-- July 2, 2015

So I've been saving this one for a long time and for a day just like this-- one where the idea well is dry and the time is short.

Tip of the Week... If you've been eating things you shouldn't have been, and you are suffering the intestinal consequences, be polite and use some air freshener.  The brands available in the local market work just fine.  Might I recommend the fragrance "Summer Garden"? (pictured below) 

Because you just can't make this stuff up!

Prayer Requests:

1. Praise the Lord for the three young men that gave their lives to the Lord last week in TaraHouse.  There is now a solid group of 10 young men who will be meeting with us for discipleship every Thursday night.  Pray for these times, and that the Lord would continue to grow His church there.

2. While we received some good rain on Sunday night and Monday morning, we haven't had any since.  At this point in the year, we really need to have rain every day or two.  The crop growing season is very behind.  Please pray that the Lord would spare us from drought and the resulting hunger/famine.

3. Continue to pray for Mary and me as we hold down the fort here.  Jessica and Carey will be coming back at the end of next week.  Pray that the remainder of their time in the States would go well and be relaxing.

4. Pray for teachers that will be attending a training called the Timothy Course. This training is designed to inspire them to excellent in their teaching by giving them good tools for educating children, but also to challenge them to live out their faith in their teaching.  We are helping several teachers from rural areas to attend this 6 week course.  Pray that it would be life-changing for them and that they would in turn make major impacts on their villages.

5. Please pray for the stability of the country.  Recent events show that rebel groups are wanting to ramp up activity again.  So far this isn't impacting our work or our routines, but it does have that potential. Pray that these groups would be brought to justice and that their plans would be foiled.
